Methven Family Wines

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

Allen and Jill Methven’s family spans the United States with ties in Michigan, Texas, California, New York, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska but their heart exists in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. It is here, near their home in the Eola Hills, that they have planted vineyards dedicated to the grapes that have made this area famous…Riesling, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. From these meticulously tended vines, some of Oregon’s finest wines are being crafted in extremely small lots, each hand selected for quality.

Methven Family Wines is famous for boutique wines including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Gamay Noir and Pinot Noir. Our 2008 Estate Cuvee Pinot Noir was a Gold Winner at the 2012 Oregon Wine Awards.

Rex Hill Vineyards

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Rex Hill Winery, founded in 1982 by Paul Hart and Jan Jacobsen, was built around an old fruit and nut drying facility and opened in 1985. The original vineyard around the winery is now exclusively Pinot Noir grapes, except for one row of Muscat left for the sweet delight of harvest visitors. In 2007, A to Z Wineworks (the William Hatcher Family, the Francis Tannahills, and a few partners including San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich) purchased Rex Hill Vineyards and Winery, bringing fresh enthusiasm and energy to the properties and strengthening both brands. A commitment to excellence is evident in their Biodynamic farming and sustainable business practices. The two families also brought wine education to REX HILL which now offers classes and seminars to professionals and the public.

STEVE AND PAULA BLACK began the pursuit of a dream in 2003 when they purchased the 110-acre vineyard located in the Red Hills of Dundee and created The Four Graces. The Four Graces is named in honor of their four daughters – Alexis, Vanessa, Christiana, and Jillian. Brother Nicholas is recognized on the Reserve as “Keeper of The Four Graces.” These wines were born out of the love of their four daughters and one son. The name and the label are symbolic of the celebration of life and its special moments. The Black Family Vineyard encourages you to celebrate the moments of your life with The Four Graces.

Oregon Coast Wine Tour Limo

The Oregon Coast has a growing wine-tasting and producing industry. There is something about the scenic nature of the Oregon Coast that makes it so well complimented by a nice glass of wine. What better way to experience the sites, sounds and tastes of the coast than with limo services from Limo JMI. An Oregon Coast Wine Tour allows you to enjoy the beauty of the coast and the rich bouquet of wines available on the coast without having to worry about the driving, or designating a driver who won’t be able to enjoy the wine. Ride in the comfort and luxury of a limousine.

Oregon Coast

The Oregon Coast occupies nearly 363 miles of coast-line between the states of Washington and California.  Due to Oregon laws, all Oregon beaches allow access to everyone.  The bill states the following:

The Beach Bill declares that all “wet sand” within sixteen vertical feet of the low tide line belongs to the state of Oregon. In addition, it recognizes public easements of all beach areas up to the line of vegetation, regardless of underlying property rights. The public has “free and uninterrupted use of the beaches,” and property owners are required to seek state permits for building and other uses of the ocean shore. While some parts of the beach remain privately owned, state and federal courts have upheld Oregon’s right to regulate development of those lands and preserve public access.”

With beauty unsurpassed and completely public, unlike other coastal states, it’s no wonder that Oregon Coast tourism is the biggest tourist attraction in the state, providing income for both the state and local coastal community.  Our limos take you on a wine tour which allow you to partake in the beauty of the coast in a worry-free fashion.  Our services can be day trips or overnight ones spanning the entire coast.  Regardless of where you go, try to make sure your visit includes the Flying Dutchman Winery, the first “micro-winery” on the coast and the only true producer of wines directly on the coast.  Your chauffeur will know the way!

Oregon Luxury Transportation Services

Of course Oregon Coast Wine Tours aren’t the only thing we do.  Regular Oregon Wine Tour limo service for the many in-state wineries is a staple of our business.  We also provide airport, corporate and wedding limo services.  This includes Portland Party Buses.  Check out a few of our other service below and on our other pages!
